"My Royal Blue Seagate 320 GB" 2009-12-24
By A. B. Campbell (Bay Area, CA USA)
I have only had this product a short time & have used it just a few. I bought it store all my photos & to free up the 6 memory cards & 2 flash drives. So far so good. I read some reviews & one person who left it plugged in lost all their data music & pics hints the 4 stars on reliability so it makes me a little worried to not back up the Seagate which defeats the entire purpose of having the Seagate so I guess I could back up the pics on CRD's just in case. This product fits my needs & I will be amazed if I ever fill this hard drive up...

 "great drive" 2009-12-24

this drive is a great value. one USB cable and no power cable makes it a great portable backup drive for my laptop.

"Do not buy more than one" 2009-12-22
By Snowstorm (CA USA)
If you plan to buy two of those drives for backup purposes - don't! Windows Vista and Win7 don't allow two or more of those drives to be connected at the same same. On Seagate forum I saw people posting about the same issue. So if you need 2 drives, but a second one from a different manufacturer.

"Broke and Expensive Customer Support" 2009-12-22
By Mesia Sue (Tucson , AZ)
The plug to attach the USB cable pushed into the unit. I very rarely used it. Just to call customer service was $14.95. Their product was faulty. Yuck.

"Good drive, so far. But, hmmm...." 2009-12-22
By Maria (Southern Colorado)
I bought this to store back-up data. So far so good. Easy to use. Just plug in and not necessary to install software packages, etc., etc. Truly plug and play. However, I bought this in November 2009. Today is December 22, 2009. The price I paid, from Amazon, in November was $67.99 (plus shipping). Today the list price is $93.99 and Amazon's price is $84.00, with a claimed savings of $9.99 or 11%???? Amazon's list price today is about $14.00 more than what I paid last month. What's the deal??? Hmmmm...poss. a supply and demand story, but let's see....
